Dr. Carter Gibson believes in providing effective and compassionate patient care. He is passionate about internal medicine and encourages his patients to discuss their concerns candidly. Dr. Gibson brings extensive experience to his role at Capstone Medical Group and currently practices in two locations – Decatur and Lithonia, GA. He is able to serve patients in these locations by collaborating with highly qualified and experienced staff, who strive to provide the best medical care. Dr. Gibson completed his medical training at Emory University. He further completed an internal medicine program at the same university and received his certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is affiliated with Emory University Hospital and Piedmont Hospital. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians, the Southern Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. He has authored numerous journal publications in his field of specialty and has given many presentations at professional society meetings. Dr. Gibson encourages personal responsibility in healthcare which includes attention to health maintenance as well as interactive decision making during times of illness.
