Profit & Grit provides fractional CFO services to home service contractors throughout the United States, working most often with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roofing companies. A growing contractor reaches a point where the bookkeeper is keeping the records clean and the tax preparer is filing on time, and neither of them can answer the questions that actually keep the owner up: what does this job cost once the labor burden is loaded in, which service line is carrying the business, what should the call be priced at, and will the cash hold through the slow quarter. That is the seat we fill. Job costing, gross margin by service line, cash flow forecasting, pricing analysis, budgeting, monthly financial reporting and KPI dashboards, delivered on a monthly retainer rather than a full-time salary. The practice operates under CFO Made Easy, LLC and is led by a licensed CPA. We also publish the Profit & Grit podcast for home service operators, with 79 episodes released to date.
