Drivers around Silver Spring who need suspension and steering repair can have Auto Care Mechanic do the work where the car sits. Struts, shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar links and control arm bushings are among the parts replaced on-site. Because the technician comes to the customer's home, workplace or roadside location, there is no tow, no shop drop-off and no rental car to arrange. Clunking over bumps, a car that pulls to one side and loose or shaking steering are diagnosed by checking each component for play. A hum that rises with speed often comes from a failing wheel bearing, while a clicking sound on tight turns points to a worn CV axle. Downtown Silver Spring's apartment towers and public garages make on-site service practical for residents who have nowhere to wait for a shop. The company also handles battery, starter and alternator replacement and motorcycle repair. Auto Care Mechanic also serves Washington, DC, Burtonsville and White Oak.
