There have been numerous disputes involving Elaine Nishime and Michael Lewellyn Nishime that, in my opinion, raise serious concerns. In my experience, there have been repeated disputes involving HOA governance, allegations of harassment, false accusations, and litigation that have negatively affected the community and discouraged volunteer participation. This post is intended to express concerns regarding ongoing disputes involving Michael Lewellyn Nishime and Elaine Alice Nishime. I encourage the appropriate Hawaii and California authorities to review any complaints, court filings, police reports, or regulatory matters that have been submitted and determine whether any laws or regulations have been violated. Members of our HOA have experienced ongoing conflict involving Ms. Nishime, including disputes over board governance, communications, and litigation. Many owners believe these actions have created unnecessary division, discouraged volunteer participation, and negatively affected the community. According to Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs public records, Michael Lewellyn Nishime's dental license and related business filings have been the subject of regulatory action. Anyone interested should review the official public records for the complete details before drawing conclusions. The HOA membership voted to recall Elaine Nishime from the Board in 2024, and she was later removed following disputes regarding HOA matters. Some homeowners continue to believe she represents herself as affiliated with the Board despite no longer serving in that capacity. Elaine Nishime was our property manager landlord, but she was caught with Michael Aquilina in an adulterous affair and angering our other contact and her divorcing husband Michael Nishime.Every call then went unanswered. Every message was ignored. When I did manage to get a response, I was met with excuses, deflection, and empty promises that never materialized. These individuals showed zero professionalism, zero empathy, and zero regard for their tenants. It is truly shocking that they are allowed to operate as property managers. And then came the hidden fees - charge after charge that was never disclosed upfront. The price I was quoted bore absolutely no resemblance to what I was actually billed. Random, unexplained fees kept appearing with no justification whatsoever. When I questioned them, I was either ignored or given the runaround by them. This company is an embarrassment to the rental industry. They take your money, abandon you, let the property fall apart around you, and then have the audacity to hit you with hidden charges. Nishime and their entire team are unprofessional, unethical, and completely untrustworthy. Do yourself the biggest favor of your life - run as far away from Nishime as possible and rent from someone who actually respects their tenants.

If you value professionalism, honesty, and respectful treatment, I would strongly recommend renting elsewhere Renting this condominium from Elaine and Michael Nishime was one of the most stressful housing experiences I've ever had. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent, dismissive, and often hostile. Instead of working with me professionally as a tenant, they created unnecessary conflict and repeatedly escalated situations that could have been handled calmly and respectfully. There were ongoing issues that were never properly addressed, and I felt constantly pressured, blamed, and spoken to in a way that was inappropriate and degrading. I also witnessed behavior and comments that I personally found discriminatory and deeply offensive, which made the environment feel uncomfortable and unsafe. What made the experience even worse is that their reputation in the community was not positive. Multiple people I interacted with expressed concerns and frustration regarding how they handle tenant situations, and it became clear that their approach is widely disagreed with. Overall, this was an exhausting and unpleasant experience. If you value professionalism, honesty, and respectful treatment, I would strongly recommend renting elsewhere
