I strongly recommend that homeowners think twice before hiring ChimCrew (ChimCare). I paid this company more than $3,400 for chimney and venting work. The installation subsequently failed multiple inspections, and independent HVAC professionals identified serious problems, including B-vent piping installed upside down, missing firestops, and improper venting conditions. The problems required additional work and caused considerable frustration, expense, and concern about the safety of my gas water heater. Despite my attempts to resolve these issues directly with the company, I remain dissatisfied with the outcome and have filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company. I encourage other homeowners to carefully check references, permits, inspections, and the quality of completed work before making payment.
