Brooklyn North is an art therapy and EMDR practice in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, working with women, the LGBTQIA+ community, and creative professionals. We pair the unique approach of art therapy with other evidence-based clinical work — EMDR, trauma-informed psychotherapy, talk therapy — for anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, and for teens and adolescents with eating disorders. Sessions happen in our Greenpoint office or online across New York State, & most of our availability is virtual. Our therapists are licensed creative arts therapists (LCAT, ATR-BC) with clinical training and creative practices of their own. No art experience needed: the work is about process, not product. Feminist, anti-oppressive, and HAES-informed.
