Dr. William Athans is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship-trained sports medicine physician with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in knee and hip injuries, and his expertise includes upper and lower extremity fracture care, arthritis management and injection treatment, knee arthroscopy, meniscus repair and knee ligament reconstruction. Dr. Athans completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Orlando Health in Orlando, where he served as chief resident in his final year, and a sports medicine fellowship at Doctors Hospital Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Coral Gables, Florida. Dr. Athans is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.
