Shelbi C. Ettinger, a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, attended Southwest Mississippi Community College on a fastpitch softball scholarship, where she earned an Associate degree in General Studies in 2011. Following her collegiate softball career, Shelbi went on to earn an Associate degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College in 2015, her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2019, and her Master of Science degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in 2024, where she was awarded Franciscan Student of the Year in 2024. Shelbi joined The Baton Rouge Clinic's Gastroenterology Department in September of 2025.
