It's important for my patients to know that I want to hear them out and understand their needs, even if it takes a few visits to get the David C. Bunten, D.O. is a Board-certified family medicine physician with 22 years of clinic-based experience. I had an osteopathic physician care for me as a child, and he became a mentor that encouraged my choice of profession, he notes. Once in medical school, I was drawn to the diversity of patients and pathologies seen daily by family medicine practitioners, so I chose that as a residency.
