Emily Jeon, NP chose a career in medicine, especially cardiology, because both of her grandparents passed away from heart disease. They struggled with diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, she recalls. Seeing how these conditions affected them made me want to help others prevent and manage cardiovascular disease. I'm drawn to cardiology because it allows me to make a real difference through both prevention and treatment.
