Pendleton Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1947 by a local veterinarian, Dr. Russel Whitford. It was the first veterinary clinic in the area and, at that time, was a mixed animal practice. There were 3 doctors and it wasn’t uncommon for them to fly to do their farm calls as they saw patients from Umatilla to Harney County.
