About
A small farmstead in the mountains near Lake Lure. Come experience a simpler way of life.
The Farmstead started with owners Heather and Darin Brockelbank's humanitarian efforts in Tanzania. God has shown them the true meaning of life in a simpler way of living which has brought them peace. This is a peace they want to share with others looking for answers by disconnecting from modern distractions. Every stay at The Farmstead contributes to their efforts in Tanzanian orphanages.

This was one of the most unique airbnbs I've stayed in. The property has tiny homes, farm animals, and best of all - fresh eggs! We were minutes away from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The tiny home we stayed in was extremely cute and had a farmhouse feel. It was very clean and the caretaker of the property made sure we had everything we needed. We're hoping to come back to stay in a yurt next time!

This laid-back time away was just what the family needed to reconnect. We fell in love with the mission behind The Farmstead and look forward to staying there again.

Such a unique lodging experience. It's so cool to get to stay in a well-designed, super-clean tiny home, on a working farm. And it's so convenient to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Asheville and the Tryon Equestrian Center. Tons of fun activities right on property including archery, axe throwing, interacting with the animals, learning about farming, fire pits and more. This is a true getaway from the hustle and bustle of the everyday.
