At KMS, we provide children with an educational program, rooted in the philosophy of Maria Montessori, that nurtures a love of learning and fosters respect for self, others, and the environment. At Kennebec Montessori School we promote curiosity and exploration through experiential learning for children ages 3 - 12. We are proud to be the oldest Montessori school in the state of Maine, operating since 1976, accredited by the American Montessori Society since 2007.
