James D Peters DO, graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology. His Doctor of Osteopathy degree was earned at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Peters completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO. Upon completion of his education and training, Dr. Peters served on active duty with the US Army as an orthopaedic surgeon. He completed overseas tours in both Korea and in Iraq during his military career and he finished his military service at Ft. Benning, GA. Having satisfied his military obligations, Dr. Peters moved to and has practiced orthopaedic surgery in Dublin, GA since July of 1993. A board certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Peters is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Sapp is a board certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. His special interests are in microsurgery, sports injuries of the elbow, the transference of tissue, arthroscopy of the wrist, replantation following amputations and microsurgery. He is an associate professor of Mercer University’s School of Medicine and a clinical assistant professor in the department of surgery. Dr. Sapp has authored several manuscripts, book chapters and medical journal articles on medical issues of the hand & upper extremity. Dr. Sapp has presented on these topics at both state and national conferences. Currently he is conducting research in regenerative medicine (stem cell).

About Fielding Callaway Dr. Callaway is a fellowship trained, orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in both surgical and nonoperative management of spine conditions. He has a special interest in providing the least invasive approach to manage the patient's condition and has special training in minimally invasive spine surgical techniques, robotic spine surgery, and motion preservation. Dr. Callaway graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia. He then completed medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. He moved to Augusta, GA for orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Kelley is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in the conservative and surgical treatment of all spinal conditions. He has special interest and significant experience in cervical spine problems, degenerative lumbar conditions (spinal stenosis/disc herniation). Dr. Kelley is trained in the newest minimally invasive robot-assisted techniques for nerve decompression and fusion which provides for smaller surgical scars, less blood loss, hyper accurate hardware placement and faster recovery time.

Gay, MD, graduated from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. He went on to earn his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta. Dr. Gay completed his orthopaedic residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Additionally, he finished a one-year clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction at Anderson Orthopedic Clinic in Alexandria, VA. A board certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Gay has published several medical research articles and he has presented in his subspecialty area of orthopaedic adult reconstruction, hip resurfacing and hip replacement. He has also served with the Food and Drug Administration's Office of Device Evaluations as an orthopaedic medical device reviewer.

He went on to earn his medical degree at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. Dr. Richter completed his orthopaedic residency at University of Arkansas, in Little Rock, AR. A board certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Richter is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is the team physician for West Laurens High School, East Laurens High School, Trinity Christian School, Dublin High School, and Johnson County High School. His clinical interests include general orthopaedics, sports medicine, hand surgery, and fracture repair. When not at work, his outside interests include spending time with family or playing at the lake or farm.
