Our heating unit went out on Saturday and I called Select Home Warranty for service and they sent me a note to select a time for someone from Urban City Mechanical to come out. I had 3 options, 2 on Monday and one from 8-12 on Tuesdays. I received a note that someone will be out on Tuesday between 8-12. At 11:18 I called the number provide to see what time the technician will be out and some guy answers and just says "hello" I explained what I was calling about and he said that he was still on another job and that he will be there between 13:30 and 14:00. I checked with my wife and she said 15:00 would be best and to let him know since she had to pick the kids up from school. I called him back and he said he would try and get there before 14:00 but if he cannot he would come at 15:00. He called me at 12:51 to tell me he thought he could make it before 14:00 but then said that he would come out by 15:00. At 15:12 I called to see where he was at and he said I am at work and I will be there as soon as I finish paperwork. I asked how long will it be since he had told me 15:00 and he snapped at me saying "dude, I know what I told you but I am at work and I will get there as soon as I can"! I told him to forget it and to cancel the visit. I am back to square one with all the rain and cold weather being without heating. What a jerk. Not sure if this is his business or he works for a business but each call was unprofessional and not sure how someone like this 'dude' can keep a job! Hope this helps everyone. I am going to post this on as many sites as I can. Update (30 minutes after I told him to cancel): I receive a text from the tech saying "I got your message trust me not coming to your house don't make me none partner" followed by "Now how go post that". Unbelievable!!! Needless to say, I blocked his number.
