The Heart and Soul of Financial Literacy Your Total Wealth is a business marketing a book and developing brand equity based on Your Total Wealth … The Heart and Soul of Financial Literacy, a book co-authored by Lyle Sussman and David Dubofsky. The book was published in 2021 by HSF Publishing LLC. As a branding construct, “Your Total Wealth” posits that wealth has two interdependent components: financial literacy and life literacy. Thus, money is necessary for personal fulfillment, but not sufficient. To be totally wealthy is to have financial wealth, but also to be spiritually happy and personally fulfilled. Beyond the book, the brand supports the increasing demand for financial advisors to move beyond financial analytics exclusively and respond to the emotional, physical, and family problems of their clients. Financial advisors (financial planners, banks, brokerages, insurance companies, credit counselors) who incorporate the Total Wealth message in their practice will distinguish themselves from those who do not. The book offers the option of co-branding for any financial services organization. Through the website (www.YourTotalWealth.com), our business creates a social media nexus of copyrighted intellectual materials that are based on the book and expand the “Your Total Wealth” brand. Through essays, self-assessment articles, podcasts, and book reviews, brand equity will experience organic growth. These supplementary resources build the brand while also creating added value services to the financial planning profession. In short, the foundation for the business is a Total Wealth concept and a co-authored book. But branding opportunities for speaking, consulting, and licensing the brand define the business model.
