Grifters. Here's the scam: They're going to knock on your door, unsolicited. They're going to point down the street claiming they're working for your neighbors. (These are either lies, or others they've already scammed- go ask the neighbors they're claiming to work for and compare info- inspect the work yourself) They'll offer to do a job- and quote you an outrageous price. When you hesitate, they'll lower it, and act like they're giving you a great deal- but warn you not to tell anyone what a great price they gave exclusively to you. They'll claim that they take credit cards or have financing, in order to get you to allow them to start- but when the work is started or completed (very poorly, I might add), they're demanding CASH and acting like there was some sort of misunderstanding. They claim not to know what credit is, apologize for the misunderstanding and cry poverty, literally opening a billfold wallet to show it's empty after paying his workers. They'll act friendly, but are extremely aggressive trying to collect money ASAP before you find out that you've been scammed. At first glance the work preformed may even look acceptable, but look a little closer and you'll see that the jobs are done extremely poorly, sloppy, and using incorrect, cheaper materials than what you supposedly paid for. They're also not going to clean up any messes they make in the process. Everyone you speak with will claim they're one of the owners. If you asked detailed questions about the job, the answers will change each and every time in order to suit their needs. These scammers are experienced at ONE THING- separating hard working people and elderly from their money. When contacting the police- they knew EXACTLY who I was talking about before I could even finish my story. They've already towed several of their vehicles- which you'll notice ALL carry temporary plates. Do yourself a favor- don't let these clowns scam you or your neighbors. Call the police when they ring your bell.
