We just finished 3 major landscaping with Aceto and Sons landscaping. It was a terrible experience and I highly recommend not doing any business with Aceto and Sons. His final results are well below industry standard and despite it looking nice in pictures it is not quality work. Walkway bubbling up in places the day after completion, water collecting on low spots on a patio again days after completion. He never fully finished either job. He works partial days and is always on his phone rarely working. Even had his 11 year old son joy riding around on heavy machinery. Not only is his work subpar his worth ethic, reliability, communication and knowledge leaves a lot to be desired. His word is worth nothing. We started the jobs last fall. The walkway and patio were to be completed in a weeks, even told if snow was coming he would work under a tent to finish it before winter. 7 months later they were what he called "complete". Meanwhile he left all of the supplies and his tools in my backyard for the entire winter which damaged the entire backyard. He said he would fix it, he did not. He never fully finished the walkway job either. Now for the real kicker... we only intended on doing the two jobs walkway/patio. We asked each landscaper for rough estimates of what it would cost to expand our yard. Aceto said 3000-5000 maximum + whatever it would cost us to have Hawkes cut down the trees. He cited that fill was available and cheap or even free. We were so excited about that number. We had the trees cut down later that week, the exact trees Aceto said to cut. Aceto then seeing the scope of the job with the trees now gone, said he underestimated and it would be closer to 10k. We were devastated, but the trees were gone and we decided we'd move foward with 10k. Now today nearly 11 months later, the job is completed. We are over 30K into it. He was an absolute failure every step of the way. His lack of knowledge, equipment and work ethic left us in terrible spots. He didnt advise us to get permits that were needed, he did show up when he said he would. He left us with a complete mud pit for 80% of our new yard for 11 months. It finally was finished today, no where near what we asked for or were promised. Again the results were well below industry standards. Nearly 30k overbudget. If you see the name Aceto. Equate it with poor work ethic, poor work, and unreliabilty.
