We enjoy kava for its health benefits but also as a social alternative After years of struggling with alcoholic drinking patterns, depression, and crippling social anxiety, Karuna Kava Founder Ben McQueen discovered a better way to live. In 2017, Ben was introduced to a powerfully relaxing, calming plant from the South Pacific Islands known as kava. Using kava as alternative alcohol, Ben straightened his life out and found a more compassionate, fulfilling path.
