Ascend: An Acton Academy is a private educational institution offering an innovative approach to school. Ascend Ascend: An Acton Academy is a private educational institution offering an innovative approach to school. Ascend equips children to discover and grow their unique God-given talents and gifts to impact the world, because the world needs them. Supported by the latest in technology and cognitive science, we move beyond the traditional tools of lectures, homework, high-stakes tests, and grades. At Acton Academy, our young people learn in collaborative classrooms of multi-age learners. Self-management and self-governance are celebrated daily by learners in a tight-knit community. Our flexible approach challenges each student with their own differentiated learning plan and inspires them through real-world projects and experiences.
