Dr. John Young is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Baptist Health Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Birmingham and Gardendale, Alabama. His specialties include arthroscopic surgery, fracture and joint repair, sports-related trauma, joint disorders, muscle, tendon and joint pain, sprains and strains. Dr. Young received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi in Jackson and a sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham.
