Stand taller. Move easier. Feel better. Rolfing®, or what she called Structural Integration, was developed by Ida Rolf. It is a hands-on practice that is much more than a deep tissue massage or myofascial release. It works to differentiate and integrate fascia, muscles, and joints of the body to alleviate pain and give more ease and efficiency in movement. We look at the entire person to see the most important points limiting a higher level of order in your body. Rolfing is designed to begin as a series of 10 sessions systematically working through the body. This framework allows us to clearly make a plan for treatment rather than simply chasing pain symptoms. Fascia is a popular health topic in recent years, but Dr. Rolf talked about fascia as the "organ of support" in the body nearly 100 years ago.
