Russell Edwards, DO earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. He then continued his training at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, where he received his degree in osteopathic medicine. Edwards completed his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in July 2010. Following the completion of his residency, Edwards began practicing in Decatur and Bridgeport.
