Following the completion of his B.S. in Zoology in 1987 from LSU in Baton Rouge, Dr. Gary H. Field earned his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1991. His medical residency in Internal Medicine was completed through the LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, and he earned a fellowship in his specialty of Endocrinology and Metabolism from Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Field was an associate professor at LSU and practiced through the LSU Healthcare Network from 1996 through 2001, at which time he joined The Baton Rouge Clinic. He is certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed in the state of Louisiana. A member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Dr. Field has served as Assistant Professor at both LSU Health (formerly Earl K. Long) and Tulane University. He held an appointment as Director of Ambulatory Medical Clinics at the former Earl K. Long Medical Center.
