The Barbosa brothers - Paulo, Andre, Ricardo and Roberto emigrated from Brazil in the early 80's and shortly thereafter discovered a love for dirt and off-road bike racing. At first it was just a hobby of sorts. Then in 1987, Paulo, Andre and Ricardo began competing in the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) District 37.
