The Shrimp Dock was founded Captain Paul Willis, and has been providing fresh fish and shellfish to East Tennessee since 1993. The company started with weekly shrimp sales. He opened a storefront in Bearden, and a Farragut location was opened in 2008 by Phil Dangel, who purchased the Bearden locatio. In 2012, the Alcoa location opened.
