Dr. Gerard Costella was born and raised in New Jersey. He earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from Moravian College, then received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Throughout his schooling, Dr. Costella excelled when taking on extracurricular leadership roles and advocacy positions. After his doctorate, he completed a rigorous three-year residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at Cooper University Hospital - a Level 1 trauma center located in Camden, New Jersey, affiliated with Cooper Medical School at Rowan University.
