My mother and grandmother were influential in my desire to help others, and their own experiences informed my values around pregnancy, birth and women's health, Adrianna says. They saw pregnancy and birth as natural occurrences and not something to be feared, and they really exemplified a holistic approach to aging and menopause. These values are a natural fit in the world of midwifery.
Adrianna went to school for massage therapy right after high school and then enrolled in nursing school with the express desire to become a midwife later in life.
