Reiki is a gentle hands-on method of harmonizing the body's energy using the same meridians as acupoint stimulation. It is based on ancient Daoist and Tendai Buddhist meditation techniques, formalized as a healing practice in 1800s Japan. Dr. Davis is certified in both Western Reiki and Traditional Japanese Reiki (now called Usui-Do). Preliminary studies on reiki show benefits in parameters such as blood cell counts, immune response, healing time, psychological wellness, and of course relaxation.
