Once a notary public member completes our short online course and examination, they are placed on the R.E.F.P.O. compliance roster of approved notaries and are able to complete property notarization orders for participating lenders.
When a Lender orders a Property Notarization Order to be completed by a participating Notary, the real estate purchase contract is vetted and the transaction can be processed with more confidence. In the event the P.N.O. has uncovered a potential contract related mortgage fraud, the notary completes the order by filing a Suspicious Transaction Report which alerts the Lender immediately and thwarts the fraud.
