I purchased 3 HVAC/Water Heater service contracts from AJM Mechanical on 02/21/2020 because I have 3 HVAC units. This included 3 water heaters (but I only have 2 water heaters). The HVAC service was performed on 05/18/2020 but the owner of the company told me the company does not do all of the water heater service items in the contract and I could talk to the serviceman about it. The copy of the service order that I received listed HVAC and Water Heater, but the Water Heater was then crossed out and the serviceman told me that Anthony Mini, the owner, told him not to do it. The serviceman wrote a detailed list of the services that he did perform on the work order. In the fall I scheduled a service call with Mr. Mini for the water heater for 11/12/2020. On 11/11/2020 Mr. Mini called to say it did not make sense to send a man out to do the Water Heater service since the only thing they do is read the temperature of the water pipe but I could renew my service contract (which does not expire until 02/20/21 and they could do the HVAC Fall service. I reminded him that there were many other service procedures listed in my contract for the Water Heater. He then claimed that the serviceman had read the temperature of my water pipe in the Spring (not true as per my paperwork and his earlier statement of remembering a conversation we had earlier) and that was the only service his company does for water heaters. Mr. Mini knew when I bought the Gold Service Plan that he would not perform the Water Heater service but he did take my money for 3 water heaters.
