Overall Charles Kent scammed me out of $60.00 for materials, did not call or show up when scheduled or ever again, and obviously did not even begin much less complete the job he was hired for. I hired Charles Kent to replace an old door frame. He came out very quickly to quote the project. After he had quoted us, we scheduled for him to come out 1 week later to complete the job. He had purchased materials in the amount of $60.00 for which he was paid but after further inspection of the door frame, he stated that he did not quite know how to do it and would have to consult his father. We scheduled for him to come back out a week later and on that day he was a no call no show. I called him the next day, he stated that he was with a client and that he meant to call me. He never called back. I called again a week later and left a voice mail stating that we no longer wished for him to do that job since it was taking so long and requesting that he return the materials he had purchased and refund us the $60.00. He never called back. I called again another week later and was able to speak to him. He stated that the materials were my responsibility to return and that he did not have the receipt but he did purchase them at Home Depot.
