Healthy Place Counseling provides positive, respectful and person-centered mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in Boise, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, St. Anthony and surrounding areas. We accept Medicaid, as well as most private insurance plans, and work with our uninsured patients to make services as affordable as possible. Psychiatrist Dr. Michael Millward, is actively involved in the day-to-day management of our programs, seeing patients at least one day per week in our Boise office, and at least monthly in Pocatello. He provides training, consultation and clinical supervision to our psychotherapists and PSR Specialists. Routine medical management is provided under Dr. Millward's supervision on a weekly basis in the Pocatello and Idaho Falls offices by Physician’s Assistant Brent Ellsworth. Licensed, masters level therapists provide individual, group, couples and family therapy in our three offices in Boise, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. Our clinical therapy staff includes Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, as well as closely supervised Licensed Master Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors. Our therapists will help you to identify your goals and then tailor our services to meet those needs. Each of our therapists has strengths in different areas, but you can rest assured that we are dedicated to a team process, and will help you find the professional best able to give you the help you need. Professionals with Bachelors and Masters Degrees provide Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS) in the home and community. CBRS is a Medicaid program in which children and adults learn specific skills that foster rehabilitation and recovery. Participants work one-on-one with a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist to enhance skills needed to reduce the impact their mental illness has on their life. Our treatment plans are guided by the participant’s goals. We believe that everyone has the right to lead a successful, fulfilling life, as well as the right to make his or her own decisions about what they want to get out of services. A Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist may work with a participant on assertive communication skills, budgeting skills, problem-solving skills, healthy coping skills as well as many other skills.
