Having worked with Venue Valet a year prior, I hired them to provide parking services in downtown Chicago on 6/24/17. We agreed to terms and I returned signed contract and check. Attendants were to arrive at 6:30 p.m..
At 5:56 p.m., Martin called to inform me he would not be providing parking due to so many events in Chicago and he had nowhere to park the cars. He stated he had a VERBAL agreement with the garage and they backed out.. I was absolutely furious. With one hour prior to my event and no alternative options, Martin told me to contact my guests and tell them I would not be providing parking. I told him this was completely unacceptable and demanded that he fix the problem and locate parking. My guests had already been informed of complimentary valet.
Martin told me he was sorry but nothing he could do. Parking is his business and his responsibility to know what events were happening and have garage secured in writing. Again, he told me there was nothing he could do and left me with HIS problem. I tried calling him back and he refused to answer any more of my calls.
Unfortunately, I lost about 30% of my guests because they were unable to find parking. Not only did Martin not honor the contract, he gave me NO options to resolve the problem. No parking and complete humiliation!! Under no circumstance would I recommend Venue Valet.
