Founded in the year 2000 in the vibrant community of New York, AjkunBT is internationally renowned as one of the most comprehensive organizations serving the professional dance world and the community at large, under the artistic leadership of Leonard and Chiara Ajkun. Our mission is to provide an outstanding experience in the art of ballet and contemporary dance through performances by our professional company, to raise the bar of excellence in dance education for public school students, and to stimulate interest in this art form by maintaining a central place for information and help available to professionals and the general public. Blending theory, practice and passion, the Ajkun Ballet Theatre organization is also home to a community that helps our youth reach its fullest potential through Dance Education and Young Children programming, subsidized Training opportunities in the internationally recognized Ajkun Methodology and unique Repertory, Funding for emerging artists and Partnership activities for Dance Institutions.
