If I could give negative stars, I would. This guy, Phillip, is so unprofessional. He never answers the phone, and doesn't like to return phone calls. I called him when I purchased my handgun online to be transferred to him, to ask what the next step was and what info I need for him, because I have never purchased a gun before. He just said background check and acted too busy to talk to me. When my gun arrived, he called me the next day to set up an appointment. When I got to his house, I rang the bell about 4 times before a teenage boy with food on his face chomping on a bowl of nachos(?) answered the door to tell me he's on the phone, then he shut the door in my face. So I wait another few minutes on the porch, holding my baby and an arm of stuff, before he finally came to the door, almost 15 minutes after our appointment time. I walk in to his dirty cluttered house, and fill out the form. My address is wrong on my license (my fault, I know. It just slipped my mind). I didn't have anything else with me so I told him I would just call him when I have a proper document to show him since my utility bill is in my husband's name. So I call 3 hours later, of course he doesn't answer, so I Ieave a message asking him if a certain document I had will work. I don't hear back at all. The next day, I call again to find out if it will work because I live 30 minutes away and I can't keep driving back and forth, and I had to be near his area soon for another reason, and I wanted to make it convenient for us both. When he answered, I asked if he got my message and he just rudely told me that he's busy and asked what I wanted. I repeated what the voicemail said, and he asked if I would email the document to him to see if it would work. No problem.. I asked if he would call me back to tell me since I had to leave to come to his area for something else and if it wouldn't work I could make other arrangements. He again just told me that he is busy and that I'm not his only customer... (obviously... but I'm busy, too and his time is not more important than mine, but he seems to think so. Also, if he doesn't have time to help a customer, then he may have time management issues and have too many customers to properly handle). I didn't hear back within the next 3 hours, and I was about to drive back to my town so I called back to make sure we could meet and my document would work. While on the phone, my mother in law had a couple questions for him about the process and fees. He apparently doesn't like to be questioned or have anyone disagree with him, so he told me that he will not transfer my gun to me and he will not do business with me, then hung up the phone. I called back to find out what he was going to do with my gun that I bought and paid for, and he just wouldn't answer the phone. I left a message saying that I was going to take legal action if he wouldn't tell me what he was going to do with my property. Still no answer. I felt that he was holding my property hostage at this point, so I called the police department info line, simply just to ask what I can do in this situation. Nothing more, nothing less. I just needed info on how to get my property from him. I didn't file a complaint or even ask them to contact Phillip. They told me that they could come with me to keep peace while we finish our transaction if I wanted. After talking to the PD, he caed me back to ask, "have you calmed down yet?"(Like he's my husband or father or something. Don't talk to me this way. Again, very unprofessional. He didn't even hear me yell at him or get worked up.. Believe me, he would know the difference). I just told him that I will come to our appointment with a police escort just to keep the peace. He said ok and we ended the call.. Well, Phillip apparently did not like that I actually called them and wasn't bluffing, so he emailed me to let me know that the PD called him and now he is sending my handgun back to the dealer because I did this, and to not to come to our previously scheduled appointment, not to call, or respond to the email or else he will call the police on me for harassment... (really, Phillip??? Very childish...) I have never dealt with anyone so difficult in my life. He doesn't like people questioning him, disagreeing with him, and I'm assuming he has even more issues with women doing these things. You can visit his business FB page to see his attitude. He warns people that they will be banned for comments he doesn't like. There are other FFL dealers in the area that are so much more professional, friendly, who actually call and message back within minutes (Phillip sometimes didn't call back at all, and sometimes it was days), who makes a customer feel like a priority instead of a bother, and who actually have a business area for customers to enter and do business, and not a filthy, smelly, cluttered house to uncomfortably walk through and stand in. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.
