I was born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 12, 1952. After graduating from the Kentucky Military Institute in Louisville, Kentucky in the spring of 1970, I attended The Ohio State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in political science. In 1988, I received my law degree from Capital University, Cum Laude, and was admitted to both the Ohio and Federal bars. I have been a solo practitioner since 2002. I have worked in the area of debtor/creditor rights since 1974 in various capacities, including serving as an outside collection representative for a large department store chain going door-to-door throughout central Ohio.
