Enab Baladi Inc Enab Baladi (EB) is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) media organization, established in late 2011 in Daraya, Damascus. Since its establishment during the first year of the Syrian uprising, EB has focused on promoting the peaceful resistance methods to counter the sectarian and violence narratives of the Syrian regime. Later on, Enab Baladi developed to become a more solid organization that succeeded in providing the Syrian people with trusted information about events in Syria through its weekly newspaper. EB coverage included the human rights violations perpetrated by the Syrian regime, as well as the inception of the nascent Syrian civil society, in addition to various news and topics in the fields of politics, economy, and social affairs. As the weekly issuance of Enab Baladi newspaper continued, EB started to expand its activities focusing more on educating the Syrian people and raising awareness. In this regard, EB published many appendices under the topics of medical instruction and civil defense in the time of war. In addition to series of prison literature by former political prisoners. Following its establishment, EB newspaper succeeded in drawing the attention of many local and international media. Its story appeared on BBC, France 24 Channel, Spiegel Online International, The Guardian, Al-Arabiya, and Al-Jazeera among many others.
