We hired Dustin and Southside to build a barn. We gave him a 66% down payment “for materials”. He wouldn’t give us a start when we gave him the money so we trusted him to start soon. Three weeks later still no Dustin so i stared bugging him every day and after another week he finally got started. His normal workday was to show up at 10 or 10:30, work a couple of hours then go to lunch and come back for a couple of hours more. A few times he did work till after dark, but the work he did in the dark was even sloppier than his normal work. His crew, when he had one was disrespectful of our property and left trash every day which i had to go pick up, The finished product did resemble a barn, but it was far from the finished product I expected when I paid him to build one.
