OHI specializes in unexploded ordnance (UXO), military munitions, and counter improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to include conducting expert research, technology development, test and evaluation, and performing Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) actions. OHI’s staff includes former military EOD technicians with combat experience in the Vietnam, Gulf, Afghanistan, and Iraq wars. OHI has provided on-site explosives safety and remediation support to numerous DoD installations including Fort Sill, OK; Fort Meade, MD; Camp Shelby, MS; Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Indian Head, MD; Joint Base Little Creek Fort Story, VA; and Naval Air Station Oceana – Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, VA. Areas of expertise include:  Training – providing technical training to a variety of munitions and explosives safety related areas to include training on related IT systems as well as training-related research and development (R&D);  Engineering / Design – providing 3-D design, engineering, and prototype fabrication and testing, including rapid prototyping in response to emerging threats for EOD and UXO applications;  GIS Mapping – developing maps, charts, figures, graphics, and customized GIS database systems; and  MMRP / UXO Services – Executing evaluations, studies, and remediation of areas known or suspected to contain munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) to include UXO and munitions constituents (MC).
