**To Residents of Milan, MO and Surrounding Areas:** I am an out-of-town family member with loved ones who have rented from Christine Harrelson in your community. My sister-in-law, Hannah, has rented from Christine for nearly six years, and according to her [and the city of Milan], there has been a significant leak under her home throughout that time. Despite repeated requests, the issue has not been addressed. We only came to Milan after my mother-in-law, Leah, passed away, so we could collect her belongings and her beloved cat, Cali. While we were there, we asked Christine to bring Hannah's home up to safety standards and repair the longstanding leak. After making this request, Christine issued a trespass order against us-specifically at Leah's home. As a result, we were not allowed to enter Leah's home and had to call the city police to retrieve her cat. During this time, Christine was nearby and contacted the sheriff about our presence, telling them we had entered the home without permission, even though she could see that we were standing in the street. Shortly after we raised concerns about Hannah's home, an unofficial eviction notice-typed at home-was posted on her door. I am sharing this based on my direct observations and my family's experience, in hopes it helps others make informed decisions. If you are considering renting from Christine Harrelson, please inspect the property thoroughly, keep detailed records of all communications, and consider reaching out to local tenant resources if you encounter similar issues.
