I kind of already don't like how it's almost impossible to leave any kind of review anywhere. Honestly, this job is pretty simple for the pay; you clean and you get a paid a good amount of money. You could probably not do anything for an hour or two and get away with it. So as far as the job itself, this company is not bad. However, the work environment is terrible. I'm speaking from experience at the Harold Washington Library. There's a high presence of sexism in a lot of the upper management workers. I'm addition, there's a lot of favoritism that goes around. For example one coworker that has worked there for a couple of years is getting paid less hourly than a coworker that started months ago; I suspect it's due to nepotism, but I also don't know what factors in to a workers wage here. All in all, if you're not working at their downtown office, you're a nobody to the company. The two current senior supervisors as getting overworked, and I don't even think there title as supervisor came with a raise to compensate for all the new work they do. I know my old manager did little to no work, smoked on the job, and showed favoritism to workers that did no work or at least a shoddy job. Don't get injured on the day you have to work . You could get written up like that. I had to force myself to work with a bad back because of this. If you could look past all of that, and even just 'play the system' to your advantage, go for it. Pay is, again, decent for what you do.
