If I could post photos, I would. I am normally not one to write reviews. But, if I save just one person from what I'm dealing with, it is worth it. We hired Jimmy Bailey to do site prep and a driveway for a 40x60x14 garage. He was to also pour concrete for the garage. So he required half up front. I normally do not do this, but I knew his family and thought they were decent people. They had no issue getting the check and started that next week. We didn't supervise as we have full time jobs and a big family. He doesn't own excavation equipment so he had to rent it. Which I didn't mind, but when it came to being able to fix the mistakes he couldn't. He shot the transit from the road. I don't know why he did, but he dug way too deep. He didn't dig around the building enough to have the clearance it was required to have for install and there was no way to be able to enter the building from the side doors. It was essentially buried. The pad for the garage was not level. The corners were a few feet off grade in each corner. There was a form for the concrete placed and it was not squared. It was off by a few inches on one side. He had a load of rock brought, but there was not near enough spread to be under the concrete pad. It literally didn't cover it all and red dirt was still there on about 25% of it. Then the surrounding area was left a HUGE mess. The dirt was piled in such a way that when it rained it flooded my neighbors yard. I'm thankful we found the issues before he poured the concrete. So, we (my husband and I) brought our concerns to Mr. Bailey. At first he said he would fix it for more money. Then when I expressed my concerns and wanted to meet for a solution he became offended and quit. He said he would refund me minus the "work" he had done. But, he started ignoring our texts and calls. I was able to contact his wife and she said they would mail a check. I have yet to get that and she is ignoring us now. We did have a contract, and he said he was licensed and insured and I can't find evidence of this. I hate the way this all turned out. But, my husband and I had to rent equipment and fix it all cause we didn't have more money to hire someone else. It is discouraging. We tried to settle this, but it seems we will have to take further measures. Learn from our mistakes and go with someone else!!
