If you want to hire Trench or invest with them, RUN. If you want to work there, run faster lol Unless listed in the employee handbook, no rules or regulations are taught to operators. There is no use of vests, hard hats, glasses or hand signals used except on a rare occasion when investors or someone important is coming to a job site. Shorts & tennis shoes are worn regularly. Many operators do not speak English or have prior experience which allows for no communication between operators. A contractor has a crew of self proclaimed illegal immigrants he employs that he will bring them to the jobsite, leave them & let the other operators to teach them. Equipment is often being operated without full capacity of use or proper care due to lack of mechanics. Operators without trained knowledge of proper procedures are made to do mechanic work beyond the basics of oil changes, ect. They have been put in many dangerous situations where machinery was not properly supported, blocked or anything to support the hydraulics while working on them. Many pieces of equipment do not have working seatbelts or proper seating. Operators have been told to run Excavators without a track on one side and left at the jobsite without a foreman which resulted in the equipment flipping with the operator inside and no foreman on the jobsite, just one other untrained employee. If dangerous tasks are refused, there is retaliation. Operators are allowed to occasionally drink (on the jobsite & during lunch) & smoke on the jobsite while operating machinery endangering the lives of others. Both actions have been done in front of the foreman. There have been many occasions when operators were under the influence of amphetamines making the jobsite very dangerous for anyone on it and when brought to the attention of the owner, he said that it takes all types of people to make the world go round. Trench jobsites are UNSAFE!
