I brought my 2004 Seabring Chrysler with less then 85,000 miles on it down to this auto shop to get spark plugs at 10am est 03/05/2021. I get a call at 4:50 only 10 min before they close on a Friday knowing there not open again until Monday letting me know that my engine seized! My car had no issues other then needing spark plugs when I brought it down. I took very good care of my car! I recently had an oil change tires, new roof, added after effect lighting. I am disabled and saved for two years to get this car! I am now trapped at home. I can not get to my doctors, the grocery store or anywhere because I live in the middle of nowhere! The mechanic said these things just happen and that he herd about a recall on this car. I had brought my car down to Vatland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram when I had herd about it and was certified as to not be part of the recall based on the vin number! I had no issues with my car at all other needing spark plugs. So then he changed to saying these things just happen! My car had no issues at all and low milage and very well cared for. He said he would wave the fee for the plugs and the work they did because he feels bad about everything as this is my only car. Why would he give away the work and parks free unless to try and limit his liability? I honestly feel they destroyed my motor its obvious to every single person i speak to and no one can believe it!! Other mechanics have said they must have blown the head gasket given what the oil looked like and the damage done. They may have damaged a rod when rocking the motor back to install the spark plugs but whatever they did they totaled the motor on a working car and now its completely dead! My insurance told me they are not going to pay for it because its the garages responsibility to, I ask for there insurance and certification information was refused. a police officer that came down to make sure everything remained civil asked them for there insurance and other information but they told him that they did not have any insurance! So now I have to pay to have my car towed from them to another mechanic or my home, pay to have it evaluated, pay for the repairs which I will do because I love the car. (just found out it can't be fixed) Then based on information given to me by the police officer about the liability in this matter, the advice of two other master mechanics, the regional directer of jiffy lube and ALL of my family and friends I may need to pay for court filing fees and to retain an attorney in case the mechanic and I can not come to other arrangements! This mechanic is legally and morally obligated to repair the damages his staff caused. I am willing to work with them to fix this issue one on one but the end result must be the return of my car in working and safe to be driven order, As it was when it was dropped off and they took responsibility for my car! I saw a story you did on something like this in Orlando and I am begging you for help. I have spoken to the BBB, Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, posted reviews online and on social media about this and i'm not going to stop until something gets done!
