Illegal hiring practices.
Anyone who has ever worked here or plans to work here, know your rights.
Unpaid pre-employment training is ILLEGAL per the Fair Labor Standars Act. On an interview, Angelo told me that all employees must be trained, unpaid, before being offered the position, and if you're deemed "acceptable" during training, you get the job. This is literally federally illegal. Past this, Angelo admits to "paying pretty low" and openly admitted his median pay, equivalent to a big box store, is "pretty low" while he hypes up his business.
This dude has literally no idea how to run a company, he's been doing it completely illegally for the past 22 years, I guess no one was versed in labor law before this point to tell him he's creating and following totally illegal policies. The BBB has already recieved and responded to my complaint, and they, along with the local courthouse, are currently looking into this matter.
Hopefully Angelo loses his business, which, according to the other reviews, was shady enough as is.
If you or someone you know has worked for this company, I suggest they look into the FLSA and hire a lawyer for unpaid wages, and then to sue for damages on top of this.
