About Us Jon Lane is the Owner/Manager of ECI Investigations. He is a licensed Private Investigator in Arizona (#1632196) and California (#17670.) Mr. Lane was a Police Officer in San Diego County, retiring after (25) years. During his career, he obtained extensive experience and training in Criminal Investigations. In addition to having been an Instructor in the DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) Program, Mr. Lane taught POST certified Advance Officer Training classes in the recognition of Drug Impairment at Grossmont College and was the Department Instructor in this field with the El Cajon Police Department. In 1995, Mr. Lane obtained his Private Investigator's license from the State of California and is the Owner/Manager of East County Investigations. As a Private Investigator, he has specialized in Criminal Defense Investigations in both State and Federal cases and has worked with Defense Attorneys from the private bar on (4) capital cases and 30+ homicide cases. Mr. Lane has testified as an Expert Witness in the Superior Courts of San Diego in narcotic cases involving the manufacturing of methamphetamine, possession and possession for sales of controlled substances, "under the influence" of controlled substance(s) cases, and driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
