Dr. Liza Alexander has been interested in medicine since her childhood. Coming from a family of physicians, she developed her desire to become a doctor and her interest in podiatry began while she was in college at Rutgers University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in both Biology and Chemistry. She then went on to complete her studies at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Alexander completed three residencies: 1. One-year residency at Podiatric Orthopedics in New York City where she gained extensive experience in treating a wide range of conditions, including pediatric foot deformities and diabetic foot care along with virtually all general surgical foot procedures. 2. One-year fellowship in sports medicine and bio mechanics of the lower extremity with California College of Podiatric Medicine. Through her time here she attended and served at many athletic events and treated athletes with various related injuries regarding both trauma and repetitive use. 3. Dr. Alexander was selected for and completed a one-year residency in foot and ankle surgery in Long Beach, CA. Her experience in this highly focused program involved the most top of the line foot and ankle surgeries, including trauma of the foot and ankle. Additionally, There was a focus on newborn and infant foot deformities. Dr. Alexander has been actively providing podiatry services to Orange County and Los Angeles since 1994.
