Mikros also develops micro-EDM nozzle plates for microfluidics applications requiring micron-level dimensions and sub-micron accuracy. Mikros has supplied over 100 million micro-nozzles and nozzle plates in industrial inkjet and medical applications for over 25 years. Mikros was founded in 1991 by Dr. Javier Valenzuela, a principal thermodynamics engineer at Creare, Inc, after a successful project with NASA to cool Space Station Freedom yielded the high performing technologies that drive the innovation of the company today.
