Dr. Richard Long is a board certified urologist with Pacific Urology. Offices: Fremont, San Ramon and Concord California. Specializing in Robotics. Dr. Long earned a medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He then completed a general surgery internship and urology residency at the University Minnesota Hospital and Clinics in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Long is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also is a member of the American Urological Association, Society of Robotic Surgery, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and Alameda Contra Costa Medical Society. For 15 years, Dr. Long practiced adult and pediatric urology in Bangor, Maine. He has extensive experience in robotic procedures and was a leader in launching the robotic program at Eastern Maine Medical Center. While in Maine, Dr. Long served as the President of the Maine Urology Association. Dr. Long moved his urologic practice to Fremont, California in 2013 and joined Pacific Urology in 2015. He has a particular special interest in minimally invasive robotic surgery and complex stone disease. Dr. Long serves as the Vice Chief of Surgery at San Ramon Regional Medical Center and received the Top Urologist recognition from the East Bay Oakland Magazine in 2014. He has been published and has made presentations at the American Urological Association annual meeting as well as medical society meetings.
